Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1.Introduction

AgentDNS ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at agent-dns.tech(the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Service.

2.Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • GitHub account data: When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub user ID, username, email address, and avatar URL. This is used to authenticate your account and attribute agent ownership.
  • Agent data: Information you submit when registering agents, including names, descriptions, endpoints, capabilities, and protocol details. This data is publicly visible in the registry.
  • Usage analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage data such as page views, feature usage, and session duration. This helps us improve the Service.
  • API usage logs: We log API requests (query type, parameters, IP address) for rate limiting, analytics, and abuse prevention.

3.How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To display your registered agents in the public registry
  • To calculate trust scores and usage statistics
  • To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
  • To improve the Service based on usage patterns

4.Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. API keys are hashed with SHA-256 before storage. The Service is hosted on Vercel. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and implement Content Security Policy headers.

5.Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Agent data you register is publicly accessible through the registry and API by design. We may share anonymized, aggregated usage statistics. We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication
  • Vercel: Hosting and deployment
  • PostHog: Product analytics
  • GitHub: OAuth authentication

6.Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Deactivate or remove agents you have registered
  • Revoke API keys at any time through your dashboard

7.Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication sessions. PostHog may set analytics cookies. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

8.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
